Mr. Sadachari (Prabhakar Mankar) is a farmer living in Maharashtra who loves his wife Mrs. Sadachari (Nirmala Deshpande), but secretly wants to change his name to Sahil so he can make more money and save time for himself, leaving his wife behind with their five children in the dark about his plans. As fate would have it, Mr. Sadachari wins the lottery, which would make things easier for him, but the British bank financed his winnings, which results in Mrs. Sadachari getting her due shares of their loan. At this point in time, Mrs. Sadachari is unable to take care of their five children alone due to her monthly maintenance payments to Mr. Sadachari in the US dollars, which were sent in by her brother in America. Mrs. Sadachari tries various ways to convince Mr. Sadachari but he refuses to change his mind and keep on making money in America instead of understanding his wife's predicament, so Mrs. Sadachari approaches the court for custody of the five children who were born out of wedlock, but her brother claims that if she doesn't continue with her maintenance payments, she will lose custody over all five kids.
